only you should see harry dunn, which also wrote a book standing my ground. and he was the only one that i saw from the capitol police being on tv, giving the camera, keeping the conversation, attesting to some of the things that happened. and i, i felt like he needed support. and i'm like, what if they want to listen to him? because he focused on the racial epithets and things that were happened to him. i had the injuries. there are videos and picture of me. i'm former military. i'm a sergeant, a veteran, and i'm a sergeant in us capitol police. i'm part of management. i'm part of all these things. maybe have more credibility. maybe they would listen to me. maybe they will. believe me more than this guy who was standing and i island in. those are the things that led me to forward and speak up but i was ready to speak up about it the day after and a couple of days when i saw michael fanone with a couple of other fellow on the washington attesting to what what happened to them. and i was like, that's a great idea. maybe capitol police let us do the same thing.

. >> harry dunn obviously your former colleague, another capitol hill police officer said recently thattrump is already planting the seeds, he believes, for another january 6th, or that could lead to another january 6th. i wonder if you share that concern and how consequential you see the stakes of this election in light of that? >> i mean, it's something very possible. i mean, january 6th has not gone away for a lot of the officers like myself, while we continue to be involved with cases in federal courts. and today, the decision is very disappointing, like i said. you know, what has donald trump done to quell the political rhetoric. nothing. him and his maga ally enablers continue to excuse, whitewash what happened on january 6th, pretending that nothing happened, but on january 6th, they were running for their lives with the time and effort that we did. and today we have that political environment still with the same variables where the former president and his enablers have continued to pretty much given them the license of and make it possible for future people to do the same thing

dunn. he was a convicted felon before nona was murder. jurors heard from a woman named kelly joe fitz harriss a popular trail with runners but very isolated. kelly joe came running by herself from that direction. she saw a man sitting here on this bench. as she ran up the trail this way, she heard footsteps behind her, turned around, and the man had a huge stick and he hit heri over the head with a. he knocked her down and hit her kn repeatedly. she realized the only way to escape was to wriggle free. she ran up the trail that way as quickly as she possibly could. calling for help, pretending there was someone nearby. the police came a little later. they found gary dunn hiding in the water. they arrested him. he spent 18 months in jail. he and then, newly out on parole, he moved into nona's apartment complex and set up house across the parking lot months before nona's death. the lawyers admitted it was a blow to their defense. >> we had to deal with it he may get -- not make it any worse. >> or was it already done? this time they knew the man sitting in the defendant's chair wasn't as prone
