and and tells the story of harry truman of world war. i it's an incredibly important story not so much because truman played such an important role for the united states, but it's important to harry truman because he comes home from the war knowing that he can lead. he had this battery d. i mentioned it's a bunch of by their own count later a bunch of a rowdy. irish catholics who were fond of drink and not very fond of their new be speckled southern baptist leader and they took bets on how long he would last and he won them over. and it was because of that when truman came back from the war that he realized though. he lacked charisma he lack stature. he lacked a commanding voice and a commanding presence there were things about him that definitely were not the kinds of things that we often associate with leadership, but he knew he could lead and he knew that men would follow him. he knew that he could inspire leadership. and so anyway, he comes home from the war and then he starts his life in jackson county. he marries bass after the war.
