that plane went down around 9:00 last night in the area of hartford avenue and livermore avenue. that is where we find ktvu channel 2 reporter tara moriarty. >> reporter: here is a photo from the scene. when firefighters arrived at the scene they found the plane engulfed in flames. the pilot reported control problems shortly after take off from the livermore airport. that person was the only person on board that we know of. neighbors say they noticed a weird sound coming from the plane moments before it crashed. >> they had felt it and heard it and actually heard the airplane's enjoin die and then silence and then the crash. >> at this point we are unable to identify the the pilot completely. the plane is burned beyond recognition so we can't find a tail number and we are working on that right now. >> reporter: investigators say this plane crashed in the same area where another plane crashed about nine months ago. that plane also experienced mechanical issue. typically it takes months for the ntsb to come up with a probable cause for accidents. accidents live from livermore i'm t
