in fact, a united cancelled all their flights going into hawaii. it is a different story this morning and the good news is that according to the board, all the flights leaving our own time. you can see that these are the arriving flights that are coming in from there and three of those have been cancelled. if you have someone who is coming home from you need to call the carrier just to make sure. yesterday, more than half a dozen flights were canceled and i had a chance to talk to one frustrated travelers. >> i had stood in three different lines. they told me they had a reservation and then i had to move to another line. i was in the third line and they told me i was on standby. it looks like as soon as i try to a get out of here-s >> the tropical depression is going to the island or towards the tail end which means said they are still being affected. that is why the departing flights to arrive are affected. they are letting the flights that are leaving to go over because it would take five to six hours to get there anyway. you should call your car

hawaii bracing for impact from tropical storm flossie. watches and warnings are in and around the island. record rainfall, nearly 8 inches in the philadelphia area on sunday. look at that. that's a lot of water. and heavy rains in the carolinas as well-being blamed for two deaths. andrew petersons has been very busy. >> first we'll take you outside and give you the latest update on flossie. the tropical storm making its way to the island. you can see the storm dissipate. it's moving to the west at 17 miles per hour. it has actually sped up a little bit. steady winds 50 miles per hour leading it at that tropical storm strength. let's talk about the track. where is flossie going? heading for the big island. their time, 8:00 in the morning. 10:00 in the morning, hawaiian time. heavy rain. 6 to 10 inches of rain even possible, even 15 inches of rain in areas where we see stronger winds. thereafter we'll see the track make its way through maui and through oahu. still in the line of the path there. that's just under tropical storm watch and we'

tonight, getting to hawaii is not easy. five flights to the islands out of sfo and one from san jose have been canceled tonight. earlier today, two flights from oakland were canceled. jeff ranieri is tracking the storm. jeff? >> it's important to know with this storm system, it's not about the wind, even though it is out there 15 to 35 miles per hour, it's more about the rainfall. maui had been hit the hardest over the past three to five hours. they are under a flash flood warning, where they were getting three to four inches of rain per hour. it's going to continue on towards kawaii throughout the next 24 hours. current winds at 35 miles per hour. pressure is rising, showing steins of weakening at 1002 millibars. so this storm will continue off to the west, so it will be the biggest problem for tuesday with more flight delays possible. we'll have more coming up. >>> tonight, negotiations have stopped but will continue tomorrow morning. if a settlement is not reached soon, we could see another b.a.r.t. stoppage next monday
