this is just off of hayes street in northeast washington. cars riddled with bullets. residents told us that it happened around 10:00 sunday evening. they heard a flurry of gunshots. some of the residents tell us they were diving under their beds. when they finally came out and the dust cleared, numerous cars all up and down this row had been shot up. now, fortunately nobody that we know of at this point was injured. but residents here are terrified. this of course comes on the heels of the all hands on deck being suspended during labor negotiations and a problem with whether or not officers are being adequately compensated. some residents here are willing to talk to me, but they understandably are afraid and do not want to show their faces. first, i would like to talk to you, ma'am. now, you do live around here. tell me what you heard last night. >> we just heard gunshots, a whole lot gunshots, and so i told my granddaughter, i said jump on the floor, jump on the floor because there was so many gunshots. we just -- and then everybody come running to my door and said y
