we are at hayes and scott at the bottom of the hayes street hill, about the midway point of the bay tothis is a 12 k run. people get down the hill, people start to relax and take it easy as they settle into the elaborate costumes that we are seeing. the we have seen a couple of good bounce ones. >> at this point people are taking it seriously. as we get to the back of the crowd you get the people strolling and making their way along and not worrying so much about their run times. if we turn the camera around, you can see there is a lot of spectators around the area. 150,000 spectators expected. they wear costumes, too. we have seen thing 1 and thing 2. that is cat in the hat. we have the thousand port-o- potties. this helps the runners to use the facilities and don't have issues with public urination. there are families on the race route as well. a couple of chefs in costume with the baby lobster watching the race. we showed you earlier, the family selling lemonade and cookies. they said last year they made about $250 selling their goods to some of the people taking part in bay to brea
