bart has charter buses running from nine stations, from the el sorito, concord, haywood and fremont stations. these buses are free and they go directly into san francisco. you don't have to worry about transferring. the first bus left at the west oakland station at six. there were only about ten people on board. many of them said they work weekends, they can't work from home. some work from hotels, others work in the restaurants. th they said the buses were the only way to get to their jobs. they are only running in the morning hours, then this afternoon charter buses will go from the transbay terminal back to the same stations, nine stations in the east bay. there is a way for bart passengers to get back into the city this morning and to come back to the east bay later this afternoon but it's very limited for now. live in oakland. >> and with no bart trains running other agencies are adding service. both ac transit and the ferry reported jumps in rider ship. the bay ferry said it has more than double the average number of passengers yesterday. it ran 12 vessels instead of its usual eight. t
