suddenly, you hit the 80s and we continue to warm up into the upper 80s, all the way up near healdsburg and actually seeing some 90s up there, too throughout this afternoon. so let's drop that and let's take a look at the next seven days. what's happening right now is we have high pressure moving its way inland, and that's going to warm us up as we head into the next couple of days, the 80s that you see today throughout most of our inland areas, we'll turn into 90s right around the corner by the weekend. another thing i want to mention though, we're getting that monsoonal moisture. so all those clouds continuing to sweep in from offshore throughout the next couple days. and as those winds sweep in from the south it picks up some of the smoke from the fire burning just to the south of us. and it actually moves its way closer to the bay area. now we can see some hazy skies throughout the next couple days because of that, as well as some air alert air quality alerts that we will continue to monitor throughout the next couple of days. but let's take a look at the next seven days on our mode

the cause of the floor, a fire. >> that was burning wednesday near healdsburg.d one man was driving his car on chalk hill road without a front tire. and the sparks from that started the fire. he has been arrested. breaking news from overnight. a fast-moving wildfire broke out in alameda county and it's quickly grown to 500 acres. it's only 10% contained at this hour. it's the flynn fire along interstate 5.80, and flynn road in altamont. a woman was struck and killed. ashes hit by car in san jose. she was taken to the hospital but died of her injuries. police haven't given any details about the driver. ticketmaster is warnini they've had a data breach involving the personal information and credit cards and all kinds of the sensitive information from a lot of people from april second to may 18, this affects u.s. customers. you're advised to monitor your records. >> all right. let's get a check of the forecast now at 6.45. a live look behind us here at sfo where the sun is shining and right now it feels great. yeah, and it's not going to be that hot to even in high

hotter and hotter eighties in san rafael, stretching all the way up into upper nineties just near healdsburg. i'm going to drop this and i want to show you the next seven days because right around the corner, we have some big changes in the forecast for us. i mean today alone like i mentioned we are dealing with above average temperatures. seventies in the forecast near san francisco eighties across the bay bridge all the way over in oakland. and looking at our long range models, while suddenly we start to see a big change. it is a first alert weather day today. but in our 6 to 10 day models were actually sitting near normal for daytime high. so what does that look like for us to look at the next seven days real fast? daytime highs this afternoon, still holding on tight to the upper nineties, triple digits for the most part, on average in our inland areas, we cool down into the low nineties by thursday. low eighties heading into our friday forecast head over hero fast. we're going to continue to hold on tight to the eighties, lasting into our saturday and sunday forecast perfect timing for a

a fire that burned yesterday near healdsburg. >> that fire was started when a man was driving his car on chalk hill road without a front tire. apparently that created sparks, which tend, you know, ignited the fire. that man has since been arrested is now facing 2 felony charges. the fire started yesterday afternoon. it burned about 36 acres and forward good news here has been stopped. and then this is the huge what authorities have arrested. a man for starting this wildfire. it quickly became california's biggest fire of the year. it just started yesterday. >> cal fire, arson investigators made the arrest early this this person, a 42 year-old guy. who authorities say was seen pushing a burning car down the hill into a goalie. yeah. yesterday afternoon was subsequently arrested. hours later that car was pushed into bidwell park in the city of chico. the fire then quickly spread north of chico. more than 120,000 acres have burned since it started yesterday. >> and it's only 3% contained at this hour. evacuation orders and they remain in effect. so a lot going on out there on the fire de

santa rosa with temperatures around healdsburg hitting up to around 90 degrees. plenty of company in the 90s once our temperature start to warm up. once we do return to those above normal highs, it is likely the heat will make itself at home. we are not talking about crazy heat like we had the first half of july. the triple digit temperatures will be pretty few and far between, even in areas far inland. but the six to 10 day outlet-- outlook both show a good chance of above average temperatures are going to continue right through the first days of august and likely through the first half of the month. we just have to be ready to deal with the heat away from the water. let's take a look at the seven-day forecast. inland, temperatures are going to return to the 80s on a pretty widespread basis. 90s, excuse me. low to mid 90s from oath in the-- most inland communities. temperatures around the bay aren't going to change much at all. low to mid 70s across the board, a baby warm-up into the beacon but only by a degree or two. morning fog, afternoon sunshine, that is no

a fire that broke out wednesday afternoon east of healdsburg capped by a law enforcement determined that the cause of that fire was started an individual who was driving without front right tire. >> on the becomes a proxy for mater. that man now facing 2 felony. when you're doing that, you're driving on the app. all grown. a lot of sparks out there. and so the result of that was 3 separate fires and accumulated in a 36 acre choirs along kind of together for all the talk. cal fire public information. officer jason clay says 95% of wildfires are caused by humans. and this season so far, we often see there goes out on the road that are pulling trailers, whether it be a boater, looks like the trailers of the drive to chains. and so that's another way that sparks it created place as the state has seen large fires since june, even after a wet winter. strong winds have been drying out the grass. these wildfires can happen fast specially this year in the conditions that can grow very quickly. so you have to get those emergency alerts in a timely fashion. so you can keep you and your family safe.
