i'm heather childers. i'm heather nauert. welcome to a saturday edition of "fox and friends first." he was captured after more than a 20-hour intense manhunt. the second marathon bombing suspect is in custody this morning and he is still alive in a boston hospital. a man found, 19-year-old dzhokhar tsarnaev hiding in a boat in the backyard of his gnome watertown, massachusetts, and he was covered in blood. you can see in this picture right here as he was taken away in the ambulance. >> police converged on the scene on franklin street. neighbors heard more than 30 shots less than two hours later, tsarnaev was rushed to beth israel hospital in serious condition. >> the citizens of the city of boston and this area can be confident that the threat has been removed. >> a short time later, watertown residents poured out of their homes and lined the streets to cheer police vehicles as they rolled away from the scene down at the boston common. chants of "usa" broke out. >> great to see that. people were certainly so relieved in boston. looking at this picture, he was covered in blood when t

. >> heather: i'm heather childers. they are laying out a frightening scenario.ere he is on fox news sunday. >> they clearly had other explosives. they detonated those explosives at the scene of the arrest and shootout in watertown. we feel they had plans to use those explosives possibly on soft targets. >> heather: adam, what is going on at the hospital right now. what is the latest from authorities? >> reporter: authorities are tight-lipped. they haven't given us a lot of information. the u.s. attorneys office and f.b.i. confirm that the suspect is here in serious and stable condition. they have not had a chance to question him. that elite team of investigators are still in standby. there are a number of reports and suggestions the reason they haven't been able to question him is due to injuries. we have pictures of him getting out of the boat and surrendering on friday night. a a at that point he had two injuries, nearly one for 20 hours and had a lot of bleeding. he came here and had operations on him to stabilize him to make sure he survived those injuries.

heather childers is tracking where the victims are, how they're being treated and how many there actuallyre. heather? >> right. we're getting a closer look at some of the numbers. we know they're being treated at three hospitals in texas. primarily for burns and shrapnel wounds. at least 100 people are getting treated at hillcrest hospital and more than 60 at providence health center. both in waco. we also know some people are being treated at scott and white hospital, those are in temple, texas. there is no confirmed number of people there just yet. take a look at this brand-new video. it shows a triage center that's been set up at a football field not far from the fertilizer plant. at least six helicopters have been landing there to fly the injured out to those nearby hospitals that we just mentioned. others being transported by ambulance. others in personal vehicles. as you can see, many of the injured in wheelchairs. also many on stretchers. police tell us that up to 15 people, five to five 15 -- 15 killed in the blast. they expect that number to rise. we expect to bring you more as w
