>> reporter: cristina, sheriff's deputies have oakland avenue roped off for a mile mile-- mile heerl. it's a rural road. it's well traveled because it's a shortcut for comullers. there was a burned body dumped down the embankment. down 8:00, someone driving down oakland avenue saw smoke coming from the side of the road. they stopped to investigate and found a person lit on fire smoldering about 20 feet away in the veg takes. sheriff's deputy say they pronounced the person dead. they started to treat this as a crime scene and collect evidence. they are not able to say how long the body was on fire. >> we're obviously gonna treat this like a homicide scene. bodies just don't start 0 start on fire by themselves. we always treat these as suspicious. homicide we're gonna investigate it. we're gonna call out our crime scene investigators. we're gonna spend a lot of time out here and collect all of the evidence we possibly can. >> reporter: it's too early to tell if the person had any other injuries before they were set on fire. that information will come out after the coroner examines the b
