i am at the police training college in hendon, the reason i am here is one of the announcements i madear about. that is what i have been talking about, and yesterday we landed all the funding which is necessary to ta ke the funding which is necessary to take all of those areas, all those priorities, forward. boris johnson was elected by your party because he was elected by your party because he was thought to be a winner. that is what members wanted. but he has lost his majority, he has lost a by—election, he has lost 21 mps, he has lost four votes in three days. he is not a winner anymore, is he? well, actually, yesterday what you saw in parliament, the final vote was something that i never thought would happen, certainly so soon, which was a vote to see if we can have a general election. that is not something i wanted to see. i didn't wa nt to something i wanted to see. i didn't want to have a general election earlier than necessary stop but what we have now is actually three years, or certainly since the 2017 election, we have had a parliament that keeps saying what it doesn't wa nt
