i'm susan hendricks. we'll have all of those ahead. first we start with a major development out of detroit. stick close to the phone. that is the advice general motors is giving owners of dealerships that are scheduled to be closed. the car company says it's in the process of calling 660 dealers targeted to be closed in october to offer them their franchises back. last year gm worked through bankruptcy, you may remember. as part of the process the company notified 2000 dealers they would use their franchise in october of this year. about 1100 of those filed for arbitration in an attempt to regain their licenses. >> we're learning more about the man who allegedly shot two police officers at the pentagon. the sheriff in san bernardino california said john patrick bedell had a history of mental illness. the sheriff said his family tried for years to get help for bedell and been committed to mental institutions at least three times. from a 2006 arrest the 36-year-old suffered from bipolar disorder. bedell seemed to be obsessed with anti-go

hendricks. the scores by trans union to consumers are used for hundreds of millions of credit decisions. so they are not what people call a fico score, they are commercially made available scores. so, that i wanted to clarify that. the -- there are many different scores that are made available to our customers there are used for decisions purposes and there isn't one score that is used. at trans union we have 12 different versions of the fico score the different algorithms used for different purposes, so there isn't one fico score. the only one score i know of the excess out there is the one offered by vantage score where it is the same algorithm across all three credit bureaus. >> thank you very much. and thank you for the new term for my vocabulary. faco score. >> that is a termite picked up the last time i testified. >> if i may say something i work for fico, and over 90 of the top 100 lenders use fico scores in the decisions as mr. hendricks indicated 75% of the credit decisions are made wit
