with us now, our national security and legal analyst, susan hennessy. in this judge's ruling, a federal judge from california, rescinding daca -- rescinding the trump move on daca, calling it arbitrary and capricious, and also talking about what this judge says, it's broad and sweeping across the united states and not just northern california. what does this mean for daca? legally where does this thing go? >> this is just a preliminary injunction and it's the first step that prevents the executive branch from recenting daca while the underlying issues are litigated. it's more of a pause. the government will almost certainly appeal that preliminary injunction so they could get the temporary pause reversed in the near future and win on the merits. this is the legal affect here is certainly temporary and the entire sort of legal question might be mooted if the legislature reach as solution in the interim. >> it's a more political question than a legal question, but you can make a case this removes the urgency as long as this judge's order is in place, it r

[laughter] >> can we get this on the overhead? it's not working? >> i am here to answer the questions you asked us to answer. first of all, i want to thank you for having me here and i want to thank james bell and toni carter for their presentations. i jotted down a number of things that i'm thinking about as well that could help me in operating the jails. as sheriff, one of my main responsibilities is managing the county jails. now i'm not necessarily the person that puts people in jail, but when people get there, through arrests and stay in my jails, it's something that i'm concerned about and i want it ensure that we're doing what we can to help with the racial equity issue. what do we do? why do we collect data? to b

susan hennessy, do these new revelations substantially bolster the possible case for obstruction of justice? >> well, they sort of add to the body of evidence. they don't necessarily sort of game changing. one thing it does do is sort of evase rate those early white house claims that the reason why they fired fbi director jim comey was because the bureau and public had lost confidence in him. we hear actually they were working at the time to undermine comey's public confidence. now president trump has already said on camera that the reason why he fired comey was because of the russia investigation. so is that really a new revelation? the other thing that i do think it illustrates is that the obstruction question isn't limited to just the president, it isn't limited just to jim comey's firing, it's a lot of people might be implicated here in a lot of different conduct. so this might be more legally significant actually for the president's sort of senior advisers, the other people involved, more than for trump himself. >> could that potentially include the attorney general himself, jeff sessi

ryan kelly from hennessy funds, and charles from ariel inve investments are with us for more thoughtsn this guys, welcome to you both. >> thank you >> thank you. >> charlie, let me start with you. what are your takeaways so far from these earnings? >> yeah, so it's not so much about the earnings the earnings are going to be incredibly noisy, going to be big writeups and write-downs because of the change in taxes if you have a tax asset in the way of net operating loss carry forwards, this is going to be a negative and going to be a charge in the case of pnc, it was a big inflow because the deferred tax liability gets written down. so thee earnings are going to b very noisy the important point, what people said about the future. all of that news was good. all three of them gave us estimates of their tax rates going part that are a little better than we can expect. >> brian, what about you i mean, clearly this was ex. pekt e expected to be something of a kitchen sink kind of an earnings report and has been so far do you like what you're hearing, though, from an operating sta standpoint
