reporter henry lee was the first on the scene. he joins us now with more on the investigation. >> reporter: oakland police and the alameda county sheriff bomb squad were all here early this morning rattling neighbors in this usually quiet neighborhood known as the piedmont pines. here is video from earlier in the morning as law enforcement converged beginning at about 6:00 in the morning at a three bedroom home on stockbridge drive. i learned the fbi arrested a 49- year-old man for a bank robbery elsewhere, then came to his house. that is when agents came across a suspicious device and called the bomb squad. the object was inspected and teamed not to be a threat and -- inspected and deemed not to be a threat and they say heard a suspect was taken to the hospital where his wife gave birth to their second child. the suspect is accused of robbing a dozen, maybe as many as 20 banks. authorities did not provide specifics but we spoke to the fbi about the neighbor, the search and the suspect. >> we were here conducting a port authorized
