henry lee, ktvu, fox two news. >> all right. thank you. henry. well, three people were injured in a san francisco apartment fire last night in the city's mission district. the fire department shared video of crews on the scene shortly after 7:00 last night near 14th and mission. investigators say two people were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. a third was treated at the scene. the flames caused major damage to the building. investigators are still trying to determine the cause. and new video shows the moment an suv plowed into a parklet in san francisco's mission district yesterday. a police car right behind that car, as you can see in this video, stops. and as the car's occupants take off, the police officers, you can see giving chase. this all happened after police chased that suspected stolen vehicle through city streets. now that crash sent seven people to the hospital. ktvu christien kafton spoke to witnesses about what they saw and felt on impact. >> new video shows the moment a silver audi suv slammed into a packed

ktvu reporter henry lee is live at the refinery with the latest on the investigation. henry. >> well, even hours before this fire broke out, there were complaints about a gas and oil odor coming from this refinery. so that will be all part of the investigation. >> irritated, i saw the flames and the smoke and the black smoke and the white smoke. >> sandra krieger is upset by a weekend fire at the martinez refining company. the fire caused from a hydrocarbon leak on saturday afternoon, sent smoke into the air and led to dozens of complaints from the community. >> i've lived here for ten years and never did i experience anything like that. >> the refinery says the fire has been controlled, and an initial investigation is focusing on whether a leak that may have occurred during maintenance activities contributed to the fire. the refinery says it's, quote, deeply sorry for the disruption and concern we have caused the community. six workers were observed by medical personnel, but there were no serious injuries reported. but there are concerns about longer lasting after effe

ktvu henry lee reports some city leaders want to shift millions of dollars to the fire department. >>ny resources missing that would prevent us from protecting our communities in the face of wildfires. >> oakland city council member janani ramachandran has introduced a resolution that could reopen two fire stations and prevent the closure of four others. >> this has been truly, truly an enormous task of finding every last penny possible that could go towards reopening our fire stations. >> ramachandran says she's found $8 million that could be used to save the fire stations. she says the money would include $2.6 million from an uptick in sales and revenue from the joint powers authority, which manages the oakland coliseum. money would also come from increased parking revenues. a bond measure and the city's self liability insurance fund. >> there's more money than we need in that fund to resolve pending litigation. >> last month, the city temporarily closed two fire stations, including station 28, in the chabot park neighborhood. and just days later, firefighters from stations further

henry lee ktvu, fox two news. >> an early morning house fire in berkeley killed one person.appened on cedar street near ninth street around 430 this morning. firefighters used saws to open up the roof, releasing the gas and heat. four people were in the house and were all transported to a hospital. two arrived in critical condition. one person later died from their injuries. the cause of the fire is not yet known. also this morning, one person was found dead inside a warehouse fire. this was in oakland. firefighters arrived at russet and moorpark streets at 6:00 this morning to find the warehouse engulfed in flames. more than 40 firefighters ran their engines and hoses along the warehouse's property to get the water they needed. oakland police officers arrived at the scene to investigate how the victim who was found in the warehouse died. the property property manager telling ktvu there's been a problem with squatters at the abandoned warehouse. also, no word on what caused this fire. >> students will return to class at a vallejo school tomorrow after power was restored foll

henry lee, ktvu, fox two news. >> and an update tonight from hayward police.y say a woman who was struck by an out-of-control vehicle has died. the crash, captured on another driver's dash cam, happened yesterday morning on tennyson road in calistoga avenue. police say both the driver and the pedestrian were taken to the hospital. but the pedestrian, a 26 year old woman from hayward, did not survive. the driver, a 36 year old man, remains in the hospital and was placed on a mental health hold by officers on the scene. the investigation continues tonight in fremont, a car smashed right into a barber shop. it happened 3:00 this afternoon in the area of mission and washington boulevards. police say at least one minor injury was reported. >> a few light sprinkles out there. just got a report from san jose. some some sprinkles going on there. we kind of knew that 0.010.02 200 300/700 in the santa cruz mountains, just a week, kind of a not even a pulse, just moisture plume going by and hitting the hills and squeezing out some moisture. it's going to be dry tomorrow

as ktvu henry lee shows us, their attorney believes the officer chose deadly force as the first option instead of the last. >> i'm telling you, stop right now. i'm going to shoot you if you don't stop. stop right there. >> an officer with the sunnyvale department of public safety will not face criminal charges for fatally shooting 19 year old emanuel perez becerra. the santa clara da's office said officer kevin lemos was legally justified in shooting the teenager at a mobile home park last year. the teen was naked from the waist down and armed with this knife with a seven inch blade. authorities said perez becerra first called 911 on himself and later forced the officer to shoot him, despite repeated warnings for the teenager to stop. prosecutors said perez becerra had been struggling with depression and schizophrenia for years. >> opposed to an officer trying to provide assistance to a young person who was in crisis. they shot their way out of a situation. >> attorney anthony pointer filed a federal civil rights lawsuit on behalf of the teen's parents. he disagrees with the city's con

ktvu crime reporter henry lee has more tonight.th neighbors. >> i was woken up because i heard, like, pow, pow. >> juanita ataide heard loud noises and police cars rushing to a home two doors down on concord. she later learned from neighbors that concord police had shot and killed a man as he was stabbing his father. >> it's absolutely horrible. i would have never thought that to go here. i don't know what was going on with the house or the family, but it's horrible. >> it happened at a home on natoma drive off willow pass road at about 140 tuesday morning. a woman called 911 saying a father and son were struggling over a knife in the living room, and that she was hiding in the garage. within a minute of arriving, police say they found the 47 year old man actively stabbing his father. at least one officer opened fire. the son died at the scene. the father, who is 73 years old, was taken to john muir medical center in walnut creek and is expected to survive. >> i can't imagine going through what they're going through right now. i ju

as ktvu crime reporter henry lee explains, the lawsuit says a predator paid the boy for explicit photosho befriended him, and he thought he was dealing with another teenager. >> attorney anne marie murphy says her client, a 13 year old boy, was groomed by and fell victim to a man posing as a 16 year old on the online game and messaging platforms. roblox and discord. >> paid our client robux, which is a digital currency, in exchange for video and explicit naked photographs. >> according to murphy, it didn't stop there. >> the predator then tried to pay a larger sum of robux to meet up and have sex. the predator found out the address of the child. >> she says the man threatened the boy after he failed to show up. the boy's parents later found texts between the two and contacted police. murphy has filed a lawsuit against both roblox and discord, alleging misrepresentation and negligence and saying both companies facilitated child exploitation and abuse. in a statement, roblox said we cannot comment on pending litigation. with that being said, roblox takes the safety of its community very s
