henne olsen who write as daily column for "the washington post" and is tapping the public pulse on a daily basis and has been looking specifically at biden and trump approval. what are you seeing, henry, and what worries you the most going forward? henry: going forward i think you have to take a look at president biden's core ratings but abysmally poor ratings among independents. that what we saw last tuesday was roughly a shift on the margin 12-13 points from biden's margin which say if biden won virginia by 10 points, youngkin won by two and is a 12-point shift on the margin. we saw that in new jersey with 13 points and in bucks county where democrats were ecstatic when they took county offices for the first time in decades in their 2017 shift, the republicans want them recall back in shifts over 10 points and in nassau and suffolk county and suburban new york you saw shifts over 14 points. all of these shifts are in line with biden's dropping approval ratings and on election day, biden was on minus eight points on the real clear politics average and is a 12 1/2 point shift on his 4 1/2 point win. so the only thing that matters for biden and the democrats is how do you change that?
