"eyewitness news" reporter henry rosoff was in the courtroom for this morning's hearing on the chesterounty case. he joins us live from west chester where dozens of supporters for the victim gathered. henry. >> reporter: jim and rahel friends and family of bianca roberson attempted to pack this tiny courtroom looking for answers for the man accused of pulling his truck alongside of roberson's vehicle and shooting her in the head. >> this is senseless. he murdered an innocent child. >> reporter: roughly 100 bianca roberson supporters gather an hour early outside the chester county district court. >> we're here to support her and we want to see justice for bianca. >> reporter: they file in one by one but once inside the proceeding lasts only mere minutes with david desper waiving his right to a preliminary hearing. desper has yet to offer any additional information about the day he's hack queued of shooting 18-year-old roberson in the head during an pap rant road rage incident. after the hearing roberson's father rodney tells us there's nothing the accused killer could have said anything

from the children's hospital of philadelphia henry rosoff cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> police say a 14-year-old girl was distracted by her cell phone when she was hit by a car in abington montgomery county. the crash happened on the 900 block of highland avenue right near abington high school yesterday afternoon. the victim's teammates say the girl was on her way to cheerleading practice when she was hit. eyewitnesses told police she was looking at her phone on a video call with someone and police say that person also heard the crash. >> we were able to determine through speaking with some witnesses in the young lady was distracted on the face time on her cell phone which was obviously a contributing factor in the accident. >> yes, she was just walking the street. it's kind of surreal. that could happen to you in 10 seconds it's very scary. >> the driver did stop to help the girl. the teen is now recovering from serious injuries. >> one person is displaced this noon after an apartment fire in west philadelphia. fire crews responded to a home on the 700 block of south 51st street. we're
