but if we're talking about black national delaney day, um, hezekiah fought douglass, others who were who were exploring land elsewhere outside the united states, even back in africa. we say that that's not some form of colonization that could take place if black americans ended up settling in africa and if that would be bad. well, that's what i was kind of thinking about with my comparison to william walker. so whether the we call it a form of imperialism or colonization, um, i wouldn't disagree with what you're saying. we have time for one last question. just piggybacking on that line of questioning somewhere, i think i read that kansas itself was seen a potential promised land for formerly enslaved blacks. did you encounter that in your research? i did see it. i didn't write it up because it wasn't really part of the narrative. um, of the kansas nebraska. um, there, there were, there were contested, um, claims, um, should the, should some of the territory be allotted for african-americans. um, what about the native americans who were already there? um, uh, this all gets subsumed, i
