and i said, what is this truck doing from hialeah? because i think it was only one or two days after and i wondered how it even got there so quickly. and i talked to the firemen from hialeah, florida, and they said as soon as this happened we got in our fire truck and we drove up from florida because we wanted to help. and it just struck me at the time about how so many people responded from all over the country. and so many people were injured because of the fact that they were there for a few days or a few weeks or a few months even. so this bill is a critical first step in ensuring that the 9/11 health program is extended as soon as possible. as you both probably already know, this is one of my top priorities for 2015, and i'm grateful for chairman pitts and upton for your willingness to work with us to make sure the timely passage of the bill. i have to recognize all of the first responders who are here and whom we owe a debt of gratitude. and i wanted to acknowledge dr. iris udasin who runs the new jersey health clinic. and thank
