so we're joined now with nolan higdon who is a professor of communication at cal state east bay., you grab mic. so talking to some friends and they're why tiktok what's the what's the big deal? why we're trying to get rid of tiktok and i'm hoping you might feel to give me a simple answer here that i could share with them because people are thinking aren't there like bigger problems than tiktok right now? >> yeah, i don't blame your this quite out of character for the federal government. they they've largely avoided regulating big tech for the last 30 years. but there's been a consensus developing amongst federal lawmakers. that tiktok is a unique threat to amirican national security interests. and so this ban was put passed by both parties and signed by president biden and now looks like it will be up to the courts to decide whether or not it's unconstitutional. act. >> so should be worried about using a now more of an instagram gal. but like i know, people use tiktok a lot of and people like that's their jobs. they're like professional tiktok cursed. should they be worried about
