i traveled to over 80 high schools holding assemblies across the state of arkansas promoting computer science and encouraging rural schools, urban schools to have students who looked at computer science as a part of their curriculum. the message that i had for them was that if you learn to code and you have access to high-speed broadband internet, you can run the world from your front porch in rural arkansas. that might not have resonated at the moment, but coming to the pandemic and they saw their parents work remotely or they learned of others who had worked remotely, they understood that principal. that you could work for a company in austin, san jose, or charlotte, or across the globe, if you have those skills and have the internet access, the results of that combined effort is that we went from 1100 students in 2015 that took computer science to over 10,000 today in the state of arkansas. we increased the number of certified teachers to fewer than 20 at the beginning to close to 600 now across arkansas that are certified to teach computer science. one simple example is a small to

we can confirm via the police in texas that multiple people have been shot at a high school there. ding to local affiliate kdfw and sources on the ground. here is what we know. there is no other information in terms of the actual victims at this point. the school is currently on lockdown. students and staff locked in classrooms and oflss. it is the arlington, texas, manfield isd police, arlington poils and other neighboring law enforcement agencies investigating an active shooter situation at timber view high school. again, no visitors are being permitted at this time. so worried parents, you know we want to get to the school and we can't do that right now because they are in lockdown. this is an active investigation. no further details again on who has been shot. the district will send an update with more information as it becomes available. our local affiliate there fox kdfw reporting a police source can tell us that several people are being transported to local hospitals and so we're watching to see the severity of this in terms of victims shot playing out on the ground. arlingto
