people gathering looking around after a six week old boy had been left in a silver 2005 toyota highlanderwitness described how people were getting anxious for the baby's well being of after a few minutes a police officer arrived. that was around the same time as the child's 35-year-old mother emerged from the wal-mart. she was handcuffed and taken into custody. the officer got the keys to the car. firefighters and paramedics were on the scene and they took that baby out of the car. >> makes no sense whatsoever 'cause there's never any reason to leave a child in the car. not only just the heat but god for bid there was a car accident, if the car was hit, anything could have happened. the child could have been, you know, stolen out of the car. anything could have went wrong. >> reporter: at this point it's unclear how long that baby was left in the car. he was taken to saint christopher's hospital to be checked out. he's doing okay. he was placed in his father's custody. again, no word on what charges will be filed. we're live at special victims unit, katherine scott chacks. >> all right, k

an animal carcass was found saturday in the highlands. this is the second mountain lion sighting in the last several days. in may a mountain lion was captured at an apartment complex in mountain view. if you see a mountain lion, do not run away. make yourself bigger and try to make a lot of noise. >>> one year ago today asiana flight 214 crash landed at san francisco international airport. three passengers were killed, 187 injured. investigators say ntsb issued their report into the probable cause of the crash last month. they found the crew mishandled the descent of that 777 and one of the pilots accidentally deactivated a system that was designed to regulate the plane's air speed. the plane clipped a sea wall just short of the run way and broke into pieces and caught fire. the crash was the first time a boeing 777 was involved in a fatal crash. on tuesday san francisco supervisors are expected to honor airport employees who helped to rescue other children from the crash. >>> new at 5:00, a san rafael man is under arrest for allegedly se
