i've always lived either on the hill or at the base of the hill. i started back in '62 up on green street on the top of telegraph hill. for a brief time i moved over to sauce lead owe, but i guess i missed the action of north beach and the rhythm and the activities of telegraph hill so i moved back and have been there active in the community. ~ i've been on the board of telegraph hill association. i helped to form a group called the barery coast neighborhood association which represents interests along the flat -- excuse me. for 10 years i was a member of the board of directors of the telegraph landing and recently shared my feelings and comments about the pending america's cup race and more recently the pavilion with various homeowners in our complex in which there is some 400 residents. i thoroughly feel that this pavilion and the america's cup races and the presence of the village across the street from where i live is to the betterment of the neighborhood. and i think we can all tolerate the increased noise level, much less the traffic, because

sizing cathedral hill is simpler because it has fewer floors so it doesn't take as long to get through the process. we took a look at the scheduling processing and we called in to general hospital who is far with construction schedules for hospital and we determine in general -- we determined that cpmc would need one to two years extra to get saint luke open and that seem like a fair request. we took those liquidated damages that used to occur at the day after cathedral hill opened and started 10,000 a day and go up to 25,000 a day. so basically there's a two year period after cathedral hill opens that they can still -- they're not in violation or in default of the agreement as long as they get saint luke open no more than 24 months earlier. we want to get saint luke open and they have a different named call delay payment. bcpmc is required and has agreed under the contract if you adopt these changes to be responsible or liable to the city to 2,500 a day for the first month. so just to say it another way from when cathedral open, there's 12 months when nothing happen and another seven

two will be the east bay hills. to the peninsula, it just may be falling along 280, 101, in between areas of san mateo, redwood city, menlo park, all these small communities in between, woodside, into parts of sunnyvale. to the east bay pleasanton perhaps livermore, east bay hills near san ramon, a few returns picking up there. over parts of the north bay on and off scattered showers throughout the afternoon is what you can expect. we're seeing widespread rain clear lake, even possibly heavier rain, maybe a thunderstorm within the lake county area. yuba city and the central valley some light rain. this system here parked off the coastline, couple hundred miles out, it will creep to the south and east. for the most part it will remain right here for the next 12 hours or so. you can see the counter clockwise motion and how the bands will continue to feed into the bay area. a few hit or miss showers for today. partly sunny, partly cloudy, perhaps a thunderstorm in the afternoon. i think over the hills is our best bet.
