that goes into effect for the east bay hills, north bay hills and also the santa cruz mountains. to thinking here, what does that really mean to all of us? well, think back a couple of weeks ago, mount diablo fully engulfed in flames. then back to october 19 of 1991. oakland hills firestorm which thousands of homes burned. 25 people were killed. and this was all during the autumn months. now, we take you back also 1923, 1970 and also 1980. the biggest blazes ever recorded right here in the east bay hills all during the autumn months when we have really low humidity and very little precipitation. so thinking about all that, what do you expect coming up for the next 24 to 48 hours? first off again high fire danger. some very gusty winds especially in the highest elevations. and the relative humidity will drop to 20%. maybe even the single digits in some areas. i was pleased to find here in the oakland hills today that a lot of this shrub has been cut down. what we have here is a lot of dust however. if you have a spark this dust keeps the spark close to the ground and smothers and
