hillary clinton is getting ready for her campaign launch rally. today her campaign released this video filled with old pictures and biographical anecdotes about her family and her time as first lady. the videocast clinton as a fighter for the causes she has longed believed in and those of the themes you expect to hear tomorrow in the big part of the speech she is going to give. what would it take for this launched be considered successful by hillary clinton? john: the only metric of success for this event is it hillary clinton tells us, tells voters tells people why she is running for president. if she lays out a clear rationale for why she is running. my fear looking at that video and reading some of the reporting on what the campaign is telling people this is going to be more about who she is rather than why she wants to be president. biography though powerful in terms of building a narrative for hillary clinton the biography is known. what is not known is the rationale. mark: it is an interesting choice. what she has to do is take the biography

hillary clinton versus jeb bush. the washington post-abc news poll, hillary, 44% say they would vote for jab at. that is pretty much inside the margin of error. how do those numbers make you feel? >> i am sure hillary clinton would prefer to go against someone like scott walker or ted cruz as opposed to jeb bush or marco rubio, but she is probably feeling pretty good looking at how the republican primary is stacking up. jeb bush a few months ago, people thought he would be a e front runner at this stage and turns out this will be anybody's game. even some people who are pulling in the lower tier, chris christie john kasich we have six or seven republicans who could potentially win this nomination and died that hillary clinton's campaign is hoping this is going to be an all-out fight to the finish that will damage the eventual candidate. >> the question of honesty and trustworthiness, jeb bush fares better than hillary clinton, 45% rating him as honest and trustworthy, 40% say no. he is ahead of hillary clinton in that

how does hillary clinton match up. obama coalition together and keeps it together here, and out performs the president a little here, and she is running below the president's numbers for latinos, and am i cynical to ask the question, was she in south carolina courting the nonwhite voters. the cynics might say she knows the numbers and is trying to move them up. >> she knows the numbers. everything she has done so far is something that touches importantly to the coalition. started with nevada, and she knows she has to energize particularly the nonwhite voters. it's going to be a very difficult exercise. the margins are the question here. that's something she has to do. of course she believes in all these things, and she has been talking about this for a long time and that's what she is up to. the surprising thing to me is in '07-'08, her adviser at the time was so worried about upsetting the white voters they were walking the line, and that argument is over and they are doubling down on the obama coalition. >> she has t
