faith based leaders and low income families who are working with supervisors dean preston and hillary ronenmmunity group is accused is accusing other supervisors of backtracking on a pledge to use money from a voter approved real estate tax increase to pay for rent relief. young activists in the state are fighting to keep families in those homes. they are pointing to new data showing that households with children, especially single parent households, are much more likely to be behind on paying rent compared to households without children. some young people want protection from debt as well as better emergency rental assistance program. these are people's lives at stake. and that in itself should frustrate everyone because nobody and especially, no child should have to. look in their parents' eyes and know something's not okay. young people from san diego county, orange county, sacramento, contra costa and sacramento counties were all part of yesterday's event by the alliance of californians for community empowerment action. san jose has the largest share of million dollar homes in the count
