i go hillsdale college. i have a question for judge jones. article one of the constitution says congress shall have the legislative power. yet increasingly that seems not to be the case with executive agencies legally binding rules and require ments. is there a solution to that problem? if so, what is it? well, there's certainly challenge as to that situation on right now. and as you know, professor prieto is leading the charge against the administrative state from a constitutional standpoint. there are there are serious questions being raised about the the independence of the administrative agencies versus the status of the presidency, of the the the extent to which the rules would regulations are binding when compared with the laws that congress has. and of course, the underlying is that over the years, maybe mr. cox knows this very well. congress has seen it to its benefit to delegate the lawmaking away for a number of perfectly interesting reasons, which include, you know, you can't take respond to ability. but as a congressman well, you

>> there are wonderful things happening, often undertaken by colleges like hillsdale, which has invested a lot in restoring american historical education. i was really pleasantly surprised. we mentioned living in los angeles. my daughter's public school we relive has done a phenomenal job teaching american historyin -- history in a very straightforward, non-woke way. you can talk about slavery and the civil rights movement without veering off into ideological paths. they have done it in a very effective way by teaching the children in the form of musical theater. the children actually perform events that happen in american history. we have seen a play about the constitutional convention. we just saw a play about the lewis and clark expedition. so, i think if we teach children that this history is alive an interesting, that the characters are interesting, i think we can restore that connection to the values that founded our country. >> public schools. >> there are always great teachers in public schools. the system itself is not working too well. we had a three day teachers strike a few d

harris chair in military history at hillsdale college. and it's my pleasure to introduce dr.moyer for remarks on the vietnam war and the paris peace accords. dr. moyer, thanks jim, for that great introduction, appreciate the opportunity to speak. i'm going to talk today about broader issues of vietnam historiography and talk a bit about nixon himself and his role in what i covering the new book triumph regained goes from 6560 age. it's the sequel to, the earlier book i wrote, triumph forsaken, which goes from 54 to 65. and now the last version will look at 69 to 75. and i spent about seven years on the first volume and then off and on, worked on this. the new one for about 13 years. and so just digging into the research on the nixon period, i won't attempt to get into debates with the great group that was, but came before and is speaking afterwards because i think i have learned and this is till you really dig in to the documents primary sources, most of what you heard is probably inaccurate. so premise of both of these books of mine is that the early versions of history were
