mike himes. i'm the deputy manager in the power enterprise of the sfpuc responsible for clean power sf thank you for the slides. i'm here today to seek your support for a resolution that would authorize clean power payment of its share of the general and administrative costs of the clean of the california community. power agency in 2021, the commission and the board of supervisors authorized clean power to join california community power, a new joint powers agency of community choice aggregators like clean power sf to be able to conduct joint procurement of energy resources and services. the resolution before you today would authorize clean power sf to pay for general and administrative costs in the not to exceed amount of $100,000 per year. it would also authorize payment for a period of 25 years with a 5% annual escalator. the sfpuc commission approved this proposal on june 27th. next slide, please. california community power, known as cc power, was formed in 2021 to combined to combine communi

>> i met with him and members of the national security council with the counterpart jim himes at the end of last week and they're talking in terms of a national security package, that is certainly the border, additional funds there for border control, the border barrier, the wall that administration has now said needs to go forward in areas, ukraine. obviously, now that we're dealing with this crisis with israel, bolstering our support for them. also looking in the southeast as to what we might do to support taiwan. as they're putting those together so we don't piecemeal this and look at this as an overall security package it will give us an understanding to have a debate what's needed for this. >> you support bundling all those things together. do you think your fellow republicans will support that? >> at this point we're having a hard time keeping the house floor open. i don't want to have to keep trying to bring people in and convince them to vote for minor pieces of overall security bills that we know are going to have to come to the house floor over the next this year and next.

i want to now go to democratic congressman jim himes. he's standing by on capitol hill. i'm sorry to keep you waiting, sir. i know you were able to listen to the secretary of state. you are the ranking member on the house permanent select committee on intelligence. first, let me get you on something that the secretary of state didn't say there, but he's been asked about before. which is the hostages that are still unaccounted for. as somebody who is the beneficiary of the so-called gang of eight briefings, you get top secret briefings on intelligence, is there any information that you are getting that gives you hope about these hostages? >> it's still too early to tell. we don't know the identities. there are people who are missing. at some point, you assume they have probably been taken hostage. so we don't know enough. what we do know is this is going to be a brutal situation. hamas is not stupid. they will not have consecrated hostages. they will spread them out. they will probably be underground. the bright spot here is the united states has mobilized all of our capa
