john hinkley junior the man who injured president reagan and others will be released from an intuition. a federal judge issuing that ruling a short time ago. let's go to pete williams. good morning. what can you tell us about this. >> reporter: over the past dozen years that judge has allowed him longer and longer visits to the home of his mother in virginia, about 120 miles south of washington, this morning the judge ruled he can begin living with her full time starting next months. he said doctors have concluded there's no medical benefit to keeping him in the hospital but he does impose conditions, he must continue to receive psychiatric treatment, he must come to washington at least once a month for evaluations in order for this arrangement to continue, he must notify the secret service whenever he comes for those visits and he must tell his treatment team before going to in he private homes. the judge says after at least a year with his mother he may then move out and live on his own or with roommates. there's been no word yet from the justice department on whether it intends to a
