police are here and have closed off holbrook street because there are concerns that the former school is on stable and could collapse. the fire broke out at around 11:00 last night and the big mystery this morning is how it started since the building has been closed down for about four years now. this was once webb elementary in the trinidad section of northeast surrounded by homes. the city closed down back in 2008. city officials have been trying to figure out what to do with the property. it appears the fire started on the first floor and spread quickly. firefighters were actually forced to evacuate the building and tackle it from outside. fortunately, no one was injured but you can see the extent of the damage. they are trying to figure out how it started in if there was anything suspicious. >> thank you. the campaign scandal surrounding vincent gray takes another term today. one of his former campaign workers is expected to plead guilty today to charges of funneling funds to get around campaign finance laws. brianne carter is live from u.s. district court in d.c. with more. >> eu
