it is a holliday. it is a religious day in israel.nd one of them they didn't want to go on camera because of the nature of the holiday. one of them said or asked what the rest of the world would say if israel had fired a rocket at a mosque. what is striking to me as someone who is an outside observer but spent some time here is how incredibly resilient people are coming right back to their place of worship, having cleaned it up having had a really close call. nobody was killed or even injured in this strike. people here are just used to this sort of thing. in southern israel we heard the sirens go off this morning while we were on the air and quickly got to the shelter that is in this synagogue. so far 3,000 hamas rockets have been fired towards israel in the last week. idf says this is the highest concentration they have seen of hamas rockets ever. again, they were lucky in the synagogue yesterday the rocket hit first in the rabbi's bedroom in an adjacent house. now, the idf is israeli defense force in gaza not going just after hamas
