what she has single-handedly done for holly courts is beyond words.she was a tenacious advocate for the community,, and on a very personal level, to meet karen huggins was one of the most remarkable human beings that i have come across. it really is hard to imagine the world, to imagine san francisco without karen huggins . this city, this community will never be the same. i personally feel lucky and blessed that i got an opportunity to get to know karen, and i know as i look back at everything that karen has done that the best way to honor her memory is to be dedicate ourselves to what she cared about which is not just social justice, or more specifically, her passion, which was making sure we did the right thing for the residents of holly courts and not just how the course hurts but all public housing. our thoughts and prayers today are with her adopted family, karen's adoptive family at holly courts and as we do this in memoriam today i think about all of the residents in the community who i know are in pain like the rest of us who knew her. i know
