he's been gone a long time ago. >> holly bristow, fox 35 news. >> caught on camera. a robbery at a popular i-drive store. one of them grabbed classes right off the racks and put them in a bad. gun, so he supplied and handed over his phone and money from his wallet. orlando police still looking for the suspect that they say stole a car and drove right into a family's living room. the suspect crashed a silver mitsubishi eclipse. two people were inside but nobody got hurt. they are now checking the car for evidence. gas stations will have to install security devices on pumps to make sure they are protected from skimmers. this is now under a bill going to governor rick scott's death. the legislation was a top priority for agriculture commissioner out of putnam whose department has been investigating the use of skimmers to steal credit card information. gas station owners would have to report any attempts to tamper the supreme court threw out the death penalty earlier this year. prosecutors have delayed high profile cases. like in volusia county where they will go to tria

hall holly bristow is joining us with more. >> reporter: they have made an arrest in the murder of 15-year-old antone davis thanks to help from the community. here is michael anderson who is in jail charged with second-degree murder and earlier 18-year-old girlfriend lindsey shirly. at the time anderson was being processed davis' family was holding a funeral. >> we know it will not bring antone back but hope the news brings a measure of comfort to the family. >> our hearts and prayers go out to the families of these kids and many others in this type of situation. we hope that it is a wake up call for some young men and women that are involved in that sort of thing. it can be life-changing. >> reporter: the sheriff really made a point in saying that this arrest would not have been possible without help from the community. he said he hopes people around orange county take note of this in case something happens in their neighborhood. it really does take people they saw to make these arrest possible. reporting live from the original county sheriff's office holly bristow. >>> and turning t

holly bristow is joining us, in front of the orange county sheriffs office with the latest. good morning, holly. >> reporter: good morning, no arrests yet in the case, the orange county sheriffs office and the family are begging for any help you can give them. in helping find who shot and killed the 15-year-old boy. take a look. a recent picture of antoine davis's family shared with fox 35. it is actually him catching his first fish. just before midnight saturday, a call came into 911, a man down to the north lakewood avenue in ocoee and when emergency crews arrived they found the teen lying on the sidewalk with a investigators pro nouned him dead on scene. now, antoine davis's aunt put out a very emotional plea. >> this is nothing but a portion of the family that you took -- you took him from us. he was a child. you had no business taking him from us. if anybody snows anything about what happened, who was involved, who was around, please, come forward. >> now, from what investigators are telling us, antoine davis had some sort of peeve with other young people in the neighbor

holly bristow joins us live on the phone with the latest. what is the story out there? >> well, right now, there are four cars that have been all banged up. there is a bmw apparently that investigators tell me was invasion in ocoee, and, winter garden police saw the suspect's car, got behind it, and at some point in time, the suspect went slammed into a car, we're told the driver of that car is critically injured, and when police tried to go through a red light a cruiser crashed into another suv. i'm told the officer and the person involved in the second crash are okay. but the person involved in the first crash, i'm told is in critical condition. in surgery at the hospital right now. i'm told there were four suspects in this suv. and according to investigators, all four are on the run right now and investigators did find a weapon in the car. they haven't really gone through it much but apparently one was pretty visible, through all four seemingly from the suspect. this is still under investigation and we're working to get more information on the home invasion that spar

holly bristow shows us how orange county leaders are fighting it. >> jointly we made 372 arrests related to heroin. >> reporter: is it enough? orange county has seen such a spike in heroin deaths from 14 in 2011 to 82 in 2015, but heroin task force was formed six months ago to fight the epidemic. the task force has come up with 37 recommendations in the fight against heroin. those who serve say education about the dangers of heroin is key. >> helping our citizens know heroin is very dangerous, don't go there. we need to spend the money on we'll save money on the back end, but more importantly we will save lives. >> reporter: this task force worked to get 70 additional beds to help those battling addition. they're raising awareness and trying to get far locks on, a drug for overdoses in the hands of all first responders. right now they're on all orange county ambulances. we're told judges are also working to combat the problem by increasing bail amounts for heroin trafficking and charging some suspects federally. but the sheriff says the county's war on heroin is far from over. >> just th

. >> john: holly bristow joins us live from good homes road with this latest out there. >> reporter: good morning, two crashes and investigators are blaming it all on home invasion suspects driving in the mill ser mercedes suv: there were four guys in the car and had a home invasion in ocoee police officer was behind them when the silver suv went through the stop sign, or stoplight, and there. we're told the driver of the car is in critical condition, going through surgery at the hospital and if you look further done the intersection a police car is facing the camera. you may not be able to see it but interest -- there is minor front end damage and we're told the police officer was trying to get through the intersection on a red light. and wound up running into the white older nissan path finder you see sitting in the middle of the intersection. now, four suspects are on the loose, they were the four in the mercedes suv, from what investigators say they hatch gone through the car however there was a gun visible when they got on scene and look at the car to see if anybody was around.
