joining me now is criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor holly hughes to talk more about thisng to you. >> good morning. >> earlier in the show we played some sound, a sound bite from former florida governor jeb bush saying the stand your ground law is not applicable in this case and zimmerman's attorney is already talking about self-defense. does that sound like that's the track that they're going to go? >> they don't have any other choice because we know for a fact that george zimmerman is the one who shot trayvon martin. the problem that i see happening here is the police are deciding what the facts are of a court case, which should be a court case. this law was enacted so a jury can decide, is this your defense at trial? did you in fact commit this crime but were justified doing so? so what is happening here is we're having a breakdown. it's not the law necessarily that's terrible because i agree with ex-governor bush. it doesn't apply here. we need to look at who was the initial aggressor. >> you're right. in a way it sounds like they're figureting out on the street inste

criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor holly hughes joins me now. at's on the police report and wahhab said? >> there's a couple things that jump out at me. first of all, i don't see blood. he's wearing a gray t-shirt under that open jacket. if you hit someone hard enough to break their nose, there is going to be blood coming from that nose. that blood is necessarily going to get on the front of you. it's going to get on your shirt. we also hear he has an injury to the back of his head. head wounds are bleeders, don. they bleed a lot, they gush blood out. i don't see anything -- if it's bleeding down here, it would have come around. again, we would see something on the collar of that light gray shirt, maybe blood in the hair. i'm not seeing any of that. so i got to wonder even if the paramedics treated him and cleaned up the face as we're now hearing, you said it's in police reports, okay, there are amended police reports. why wasn't it in the originals? we see the original police report, that he is no mention of any of that. once this blows up, once
