heather holmes joins us live . she is following the latest development and joins us with the latest. >> reporter: this all began about 5:00 use in time a short time ago officials gave an update. the president of the police union announced two officers are in critical condition and the other the officers are with the narcotics division and were serving a search warrant at a home in southeast houston. the houston chronicle is reporting that one of the officers was shot in the face. the paper reports that narcotics officers had previously made undercover purchases of drugs at that location which is why they were there and able to get a search warrant. officers were at the front door when gunfire came from inside the house almost immediately. two suspects are reported dead at the scene and all five officers were taken to memorial hermann hospital where the police chief and mayor gave us an update a few minutes ago. >> we have five officers injured. four were struck by gunfire. two officers are currently in surgery. the
