this is the naivete homeless count it claims there were 11 how plus homeless shelters. we went to the agencies and investigative decision and got the tally shots. we counted them and 1 thousand down to 3 hundred and 57. that's a gigantic discrepancy. we ask it be sent to the government accountability board to be investigated. in addition there are a few facts that were not told. we have contacted the organization that gave the grants and it can be moved. all the city has to do is write a letter it's in the blue packet in front of you. and it was stated that the agency intends to have an open process. the documents that were given to the state to get this grant suggests otherwise and that's in our packet as well. the city has been obliged to fund it for 10 years. we're asking that this proposal be tabled and that the address and neighborhood information be stripped from the resolution. thank you very much >> thank you. next speaker, please. >> one and one, two. here you go, sir >> we're back to the original mike. >> i don't have to go over the math. we already service ov

we do a bio analysis and what we found was we count both shelter homeless and unsheltered homeless so folks who are living on the street as well. we found for the first time there were more individuals living on the street - can i - there were more individuals living on the street in bayview we counted 12 hundred and 74 that's a point on would particular night in january. the second was was district 6. so what are the services when you're talking about street homeless. there are no shelters in district 10. the pro dense church has offered space in the evening hours. those are mats in the floor of a church. there's no meals or showers they pack up their stuff every morning pr the current 11 hundred beds we have 3 shltsz south of market and 3 in the tenderloin. there's 11 hundred shelter beds nothing permanent in the bay. you're going to hear about the array of services we have in district 10 we have some support of housing sites. but we don't have anything for being able used for single adults on the street. it would add 247 beds so people wouldn't have to leave in the morning. it's ne

i would like to get your thoughts on homelessness and what the city is doing about homelessness, what direction you think we should be headed in, a big issue in san francisco. >> homelessness is interesting. when you look at it as a sociological perspective, we have some of the people in the homeless community enjoying being on the street. others want help. i think when we also -- we need to do a better job of taking care of those mentally ill. when you are on the street and you listen to the homeless folks or you watch them interacting, you see they are a little disturbed. i think the city overall has done a good job in terms of housing and taking them off the street, providing services. mayor newsom started a private -- program connecting members of the homeless community to services, dental, vision, therapy, housing, mental health. these are things that you and i probably take for granted. we have access and resources we can leverage. this community doesn't. in the southeast part of the city, we don't have many homeless facilities. there is one that i know of, providence baptist ch
