you can hear behind me cars honking. we're beginning to smell the smell of smoke as the fire continues to rage just down the block from us. smoke now pouring out of the beauty shop that is just adjacent to the mcdonald's. many of the commercial outfits here have their windows beard up. sam's liquor store behind me has its windows boarded up. that did not stop a group of people from breaking in. they dispersed at the sound of gunshots as well. there's minimal police presence here. there was fairly significant police presence outside the police department at ferguson tonight. that where we saw police initially not in riot gear, then in riot gear, then tactical vehicles, then deployment of tear gas. we're smelling the smoke of the fire down the block. i acknowledge we'll see fire trucks show up momentarily as the fire begins -- continues to burn. we're getting some reports from folks around the area, the main sites of action, you're seeing the car burning, which we have reports is a police carment unclear how that started.
