today we're joined by him and by his wife, dr. catherine horton. a former high energy physicists and research fellow at the university of oxford to discuss havana syndrome and directed energy weapons. good to have you both with us. bill. i know that you've been suffering with symptoms. consistent with advantage syndrome. we're told studies conducted by different governmental entities, found the initial phase is a result of a sonic disturbance and 15 percent of people who show havana. so syndrome symptoms also show a disruption in brain activity and eventually traumatic brain injury. what's your experience been like as well? mine, i don't think is a uh, so have in a syndrome type is like, uh, implants, because i've got, and i'm being treated for paying for it but, and the, the physician has never seen anything like this, but it's like 4 points on each of my legs. in a parallel position on both legs, in the pain, sometimes just alternates back and forth between those 4 points. i mean is a point pain. i can put a finger on it on each of the $8.00 on e

dr horton is the largest home builder in the u.s. they're essentially a manufacturer. they'll have to push product. whether that means mortgage rate buydowns as incentive or lowering prices, that's what they're going to do. it's interesting because in the builder sentiment report today, they did note that builders are using more incentives. i was talking to housing analyst ivy zellman yesterday and she said 70 plus percent of those incentives are mortgage buydowns because rates are at such a high right. >> it's amazing, diana. everything happening in housing and in the bull case is pretty clear, works to the benefit of new home builders as to existing homes. i just wonder how much longer that can essentially go in this time of scarcity. >> well, look, we have a massive shortage of homes for sale in general. so, the builders really need to step up. they have a long runway. the question is if affordability is hit this hard and builders can't get buyers in the door, we saw buyer traffic incredibly low. on the builder sentiment, 50. anything below is considered negative. t

horton, for all start with.arthy in the next couple of days and try to vacate? >> well, there is no question you are going to see matt gaetz go after kevin mccarthy nonstop for as long as he's in congress. whether or not he'll, you know, act on vacating that quickly, i don't know. matt gaetz has to worry about coming out feeling like a loser, you, know in that sort of exchange himself. he wants to run for governor in florida. this whole thing with gaetz, you know, people should remember with matt gaetz as awful as he really is, he is probably more awful than you think. his issues with kevin mccarthy have nothing to do with a difference in policy or something. he has a deep, visceral, personal hatred for speaker mccarthy. so, you're going to hear from him. he's not going to stop, but i'm not convinced he is going to act that quickly. >> the person who perhaps wanted this government shutdown or than anyone who was donald trump. he said so quite clearly in his social media truth post, you should not be forgotten in

horton -- these were able to continually raise prices. they would print money, meeting very little resistance. now there's still tremendous demand out there. but norge rates have gotten so high around 8% versus, say, 3.5% not that long ago that a substantial part of the population has indeed been priced out of the housing market. it's happened so quickly it's possible we had a traditional housing cycle finally on our hands where the home builders are still building, except now it looks like they may be building too aggressively and the buyers are walking away because of those high mortgage rates. i have no doubt there are many people that want a home but if they can't afford it doesn't matter. we know the fed's very concerned that home prices have gotteen high. higher mortgage rates will make it so there are more homes left on the rnlg market which historically has led to more affordable housing. the cycle might be back. at the moment there's still no excess inventory to speak of but just like the travel stocks have come down despite stro
