community housing partnership provides permanent supportive housing to homeless individuals and families here in san francisco. we have over 1000 units of housing, and this is our newest property that just came online. 120 individuals who are either living on our streets or in institutional care here in san francisco are now housed here and have a home. they have open space to the have committed the amenities, and they have services to stabilize their lives in bill a platform so they can be self-sufficient of the planning that went into this project to ensure that it is within a transit corridor, then a head job opportunities, all of the property management staff here where individuals were -- to work rather low- income or formerly homeless themselves. this kind of coordination is what grant will -- is what the grant that we will discuss today will show. when we have good information and community input come together, we couldn't build housing for 120 homeless individuals in hayes valley, one of the most up-and-coming neighborhoods in san francisco. i do not see the mayor's office of housing here to provide feedback to you on housing policy. i think also it is important to point out that the inclusion very housing update is starting in january. there will be a long process. the planning department has a staff. it will be run by the mayor's office of housing. there is a technical advisory committee that has been appointed, as well as our organization as we prepare to dig deep, both into the technicalities, as well very, as well as the policy framework for inclusion mary. if there is the thought that we need to incentivize, then that is the form that needs to happen. san francisco has never incentivized the provision of on-site inclusion every housing units, other than creating an ever where it makes it more sweeter. that is the way it should work. if it is not working, we should figure out how to tweak things or create carrots, to do that. doing that, and unilaterally in this way, i would just, is not the proper way to do it. i have heard this from a to development leaders, turn your attention to the comptroller's report t

some of the housing have ability programs. other thing is we need to definitely think about how the stability of these housings. hopefully that is a piece of legislation you will create to make laws more stricter when people move into housing. i am also thinking about -- i think the case managers at these places need specialized training so they will be able to help people get into housing and where the housing is, and how to navigate the process. i think i was given a housing application that was pretty much as big as this book. they expect me to fill that out. it is not a simple issue dealing with this, so i think you have to figure out how to bring more jobs into the city and county of san francisco. i also feel you have a problem with accountability system. i just feel like they should not have come from the coalition of homeless. this should have come from the local coordinating home was board. this is overrun by service providers are you are not getting the information. i find it problematic that this guy is going to pul

>> mayor's office on housing. yes. when the site was transferred in 2003 or 2004, staff did a side suitability analysis, and we determined that the site could be developed. however, because of the slope, additional costs related to putting in a retaining wall and additional foundation would probably because prohibitive for the mayor's office on housing to develop as supportive housing, so it would push our per unit and a total development costs much higher than the ranges we were used to, -- and the total development costs. it was recommended to sell this to subsidize the pipeline. supervisor mar: what was the value? >> $2.20 million. that was based on either eight units at two bedrooms or 17 units at studios, which is the two scenarios we looked at. supervisor mar: i guess i see that money as potential money that could help ease the suffering of many of the families that were before us in this chamber yesterday morning, and i am just wondering if the mayor's office on housing is not proposing this proposal to turn thi
