howard eskin is here with the hunt or new head coaches. >> first things first.rviewed by the eagles. they went to kansas city for today's interview. that's one. that's the first one that came today. former eagles player and coach that had the interview that would be doug peterson. the offensive coordinator of the kansas city chiefs. in the past coaches under andy reid have had success as head coaches in the nfl but the guy that kind of has created a little bit of a stir another really big name he'll be interviewed tomorrow, monday. that would be new york giants head coach tom coughlin who just resigned on monday obviously pushed out. but will be here tomorrow. i think it comes down to whether he wants to coach with the eagles as much as what the eagles may want. i do think with other coaches going elsewhere the eagles are looking for a name. but i think pat shurmur is as good as any of these guys right now. we'll see how it all turns out. now, tonight on sports sunday, we'll take a look at what coach may be the best fit and what this off season will look like. t

we begin with howard eskin want we know right now. ward. >> once tom cough lip withdrew from consideration as the eagles head coach this morning the eagles decided to make a move only two candidates remaining that they had interviewed and that was the end of the process. eagles offensive coordinator pat shurmur and former eagles quarterback and coach doug pederson. now with andy reid in kansas city. multiple sources have told me throughout the evening as i mentioned earlier this evening on the news he will be named doug pederson will be named eagles head coach once kansas city completes their run in the playoffs. which could go a couple of wee weeks. now pederson was a coach with the eagles under reid from 2009 through 2012 he went with andy reid to kansas city. i was also told by a source that andy reid had more than a little input into trying to get pederson the eagles head coaching job. now, pederson came to the eagles in 1999. was the starting quarterback the first year for reid. pederson played nine games that year as starter befo
