frederick county, maryland. nikki burdine is in loudoun county, virginia and this morning nick giovanni is driving around the district and close-in maryland. howard and allyson are tracking the changes and they are moving quickly. >> we are starting to see things change over already from rain to sleet, especially for areas off to the north and west. you have to keep in mind, this is going to be an all day affair. so if you are waking up to areas south of the district and say hey, the roads are just wet, we know it's going to quickly change. this is our winter storm warning map stretching across beltways all the way to the eastern shore. and to get an overview of what's going on, we still have a lot of moisture back off to the west. so as the temperature drops, there's not going to be any shortage of moisture for the snow to drop. probably seeing the snow become pretty wet at first and then as the day progresses, if things get colder and the temperatures drop down to the 20s, we're going to see that drier snow. our rain to snow times this is a transition time. a little bit of sleet before the actual snow. 47 for areas right now through frederick,
