and another bid, not a big surprise, but an interesting deal, saw lord & taylor's owner hudson's bay company announcing they'll take saks private, $16 a share, a very big real estate component coming into play for that one. hertz was in line, but it's down because there was disappointment that they didn't raise any guidance for the company. i can tell you as a frequent hertz user, they're certainly raising auto rental prices. they say, though, that will be flat in the next year. we'll see about that. if you can't get better earnings guidance, what else should you do? announce an accelerated share repurchase program. that's what caterpillar did. they announced they're buying $1 billion of caterpillar stock. about 2% of the company. how about earnings tomorrow? new york stock exchange will be out with earnings. the only thing i really want to know a lot about is when will the deal close? let's hope we get more information on that. guys, back to you. >> all right, bob, thanks so much. bob pisani, a modest day today, as we said, on the street. joining us to break it down is david sauerby
