his name is dennis hughes, 41 years old, some of 61 year-old diane hughes found dead in her room earlier this week. there could be a possible connection between her murder and last night's shooting. to recap, the shooting started before 9:00 last night. originally officers came to an apartment at 2 questioned dennis used about his involvement in his mother's murder that happened earlier this week. those officers knocked on the door of what was his girlfriend's apartment. the girlfriend open the door and officers said she seemed awfully nervous and then they called out to dennis and i could not see him through the front door. after some conversation, dennis fired shots and it escalated and he fired shots through the walls, the floors, the ceilings, even trying to set a better month fire. being a danger to residents nearby, that is when san fransisco tactical groups decided to take him out. today san fransisco police officers are standing watch outside of that apartment building where the incident took place. residents are allowed back inside and the officers on the ground say that the apa
