huma abedin joins me now. i said this off camera so i'll say it on camera. we've never really seen you do interviews or hear you because you're familiar with democratic politics for so long you were the person off to the right. so how did it feel to move from just off to the right to center stage telling your story? >> well, first of all, so excited to be on the show with you today but i have to say, i preferred being behind the scenes, prefer being invisible. everything is new to me so i'm emerging into this world where all the things i would say to somebody else, we were talking about this earlier. don't forget to say this and do this. i know all the mechanics but being in the chair it's a whole different experience. so just getting used to it. >> getting used to it and doing a brilliant job. i want to talk about your family. i'm semi obsessed with your up bringing. international and cross cultural and fundamentally american and fundamentally immigrant but quite international. you were around the world. you lived in saudi arabia. you come from free people.
