this happened on 6th street near the huntingtown community center. tracee wilkins joins us with the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: pat, he did not live in that house, but he does have family nearby. now prince george's county police want to know who shot this young man and why. police are searching for shell casings and any evidence that can lead to an arrest after a shooting in an unlikely area of bowie, maryland. >> damage to the property was just a bullet that did enter the front porch area of the house. >> reporter: james carroll owns the home on 6th street where 18-year-old davonte king was found shot this morning bullet holes here at the house that he now rents. no one inside of the home was hurt. >> no harm to the tenants, which i'm thankful for. i'm just sorry that the young man that got shot is now deceased. >> reporter: king died in a hospital several hours after he was discovered, according to prince george's county police. the 18-year-old did not live in this home, but he does live just a few blocks away and has a large family

so the warmer temperatures coming with the sunshine, 72 right now in huntingtown. think most of us should be in for a pretty nice sunset tonight. storm team4 radar, nothing to show, dry and clear. we won't see rain tonight and i don't expect much many the next couple daze. here's future weather the clouds around the area a few storms well back toward west virginia. that's where they'll stay. overnight tonight we'll see the potential for fog to develop. that could be an issue early tomorrow morning. i think we'll be okay, by around 9:00, 10:00, the fog will get out of here and we'll just be dealing with clouds. yes, we'll have clouds but also some sunshine mixed in. notice a couple of showers but that's it. light showers if any develop most of the day tomorrow on the dry side. really not worried about rain. then by 4:00 p.m., look at the clearing taking place. by tomorrow night we're in for a beautiful, beautiful saturday evening. i really think it will be quite nice no matter where you are. this is what's happening right now. the storm system that's been hanging do

rain i think should be gone tomorrow morning. 61 in leesburg right now, 64 fredericksburg, 61 in huntingtown. it hasn't just been the rain. it's been the very cool temperatures. we've needed the umbrellas, the jackets. tomorrow i don't think you'll need either one. 76 degrees with sunshine out there from time to time. more clouds than sun, and i think we'll start off rather cloudy. 75 martinsburg, 76 toward fredericksburg. the exercise impact tomorrow, cool and dreary start, but a better afternoon. we'll start off kind of cool but once we start to get those breaks in the clouds we'll start to shoot back up into the 70s. and i really think the 60s are gone after today. i don't think we'll see them again until maybe late september or october. that's good news too. the impact forecast tomorrow, low. very low. much warmer with just a few showers out there. most of us going to remain dry in the afternoon. same deal saturday, 80 degrees. a nice, warm day, 40% chance of storms mostly west of d.c., 76 on sunday, 89 on monday, then here comes the heat. back into the 80s, close to 90 by next thursday.

the east of the metro area. 60 degrees at dulles 61 right now in manassas, 59 camp springsable huntingtown. very cool with a little bit of a northeasterly flow. that flow is going to help to continue to give us the showers. look at the showers right now montgomery county, southern maryland, we're looking at some of that rain coming right on through the waldorf area, in and around st. mary's county where it's been on the heavy side. you can see calvert county seeing the rain, charles count yishgs the northern neck. let's zoom in on the heavier rain. not a lot toward southern st. mary's county. here's the patuxent river, moderate rain there. it does continue to come down. for the rest of us, it's just going to be light rain and drizzle. you can see thunderstorm activity heading right towards ocean city maryland, down toward norfolk. as we make our way through the rest of the overnight hours most of the heavy rain will move on out. but we'll see the showers return, the drizzle and the mist. that's something that we always see with that northeasterly wind. we'll probably see it tomorrow mornin
