here's huntsville, up here. this is the tornado warning. this has been on the ground. it's done some damage. a chicken coop has been destroyed. it's heading for rainsville here. and it's this little cell out ahead of the main line. those are usually the culprits overnight. the sirens going off in northern alabama at this time. we mentioned hurricane richard, down to a tropical storm. it was very impressive. it intensified quickly, before landfall. now that it's over land, it's falling apart quickly. this is not a story to be concerned about along the gulf. this is going to continue to a remnant low over the gulf. it does not look like it's going to regenerate. conditions can be hostile, strong winds over the gulf. we had the tornado yesterday in texas. two days in a row of nasty storms near the dallas area. this did the damage here. under the two "ls" in dallas. there were two other tornadoes on interstate 30. and the blue dots, a lot of wind damage along with hail. that's the green dots, yesterday. severe weather, the last two days. here's a wider view of all of the s

heavy rain is pushing through huntsville, alabama, as well. this disturbance going through the deep south has severe weather with it. that will try to ride in our direction. it will increase the wind and spread the rain out ahead of it. there's indication the rain may weaken but we have to watch this cluster, most of which will ride to the south. the hub towards and lata may lead to -- atlanta may lead to numerous flight delays and heavy ran across the mountains and could reach central maryland through the lunchtime and afternoon. that's we have to watch. our forecast model incates how most of the rain is expected to stake back to the west, but i believe we will have showers and thunderstorms possible to fire up ahead of this heading through the afternoon. keep an eye to the sky and there may be scattered showers around, a mfume have embed thunderstorms and winds just aloft really strong and all it takes is mixing with the storms to carity wind down to the surface. gusts over 40 miles per hour with thunderstorms will be possible. once we get t

southern band that came through atlanta and huntsville, alabama meant business. as it pushes to the east, it will slit in two pieces and there's an indication it may not survive the trp across the mountains but it's going to add to the cloud cover and it will at least give us a chance of showers and storms as we go toward the afternoon. going to build up the wind more than anything else and gusty wind this afternoon. it may help destabilize the air if we get more pokes of sun. mostly cloudy skies and even though there may be intermittent sunshine on and off the afternoon and showers back to the west. they will likely be more pronounced back into the mountains and just spotty showers for us. same for tomorrow. just scattered showers to develop during afternoon and evening. but look for the winds to get gusty that is just to push warm air and where it gets more sun tomorrow, southern maryland could approach 08. and a shot at 80 as well on wednesday even though the cold front tries to come through during the morning hours. aiming for 72 for today. scattered showers
