joining me tonight, ohio senator nina turner, running against husted in the state of ohio.y and all this unfolding in ohio, i thought this is the ultimate voter suppression, that they are actually going to tell counties if you mail absentee ballots out and get them in the hands of the voters, we're going to cut your funding. i mean, this just shows there are no boundaries, are there? >> that's right, ed. they will stop at nothing to suppress the vote, even threatening the citizens of counties in our state, and kuyahoga county leadership did the right thing saying we will mail out the ballots, because we believe in pro voter, unlike the gop, but what they were attempting to do by threatening the county in that way has really upset the quality of life in the citizens of that county, 1.3 million of them, but they don't care about the quality of life of citizens in cuyahoga county or any other county in this state, to be honest with you, ed, they've already slashed the local government fund budget by about $1 billion already. and then to launch that kind of threat, just because

the new law says only the secretary of state, only republican john husted, can send out absentee ballots around the state, and he only has to do that if he wants to do it, and if the legislature appropriates specific money for him to do it. counties have always done that in the past, but the new law bans the counties from doing that anymore. and apparently, that was the last straw for old ed fitzgerald. he is the democrat who has almost no statewide name recognition in ohio, even though he's trying to run against john kasich. he is also, though, the county executive for the most populist county in ohio, cuyahoga county. and ed fitzgerald first announced he was going to sue the state over all these cutbacks that the republicans have instituted against voting rights in the state over the last year and a half. and then, beyond that, he went the civil disobedience route, sort of. he had the county council, in his county, in cuyahoga county, vote for a local measure that he wrote, which said the county wouldn't comply with this new law banning them from sending out absentee ballots. the count

she has been off of the hustings for a long time now. >> and i wanted to talk quickly about the piece this morning, and it is very interesting piece on rand paul, and wealthy libertarians, and this is perhaps the last block of really wealthy people that don't, have not picked a horse in politics yet, and who are the with wealthy libertarians and where are they and are they all lining up behind rand paul en masse? >> well, they are all over the country, and in silicon valley, and beyond wall street. people think that wall street is full of financed republicans, but it is really self-described libertarians, and a millionaire hedge fund founder, and all around the country at these, you know, kind of money management funds, you have guys who are big donors to think tanks to the various research groups to promote the market ideas and they are untapped force in presidential politics. >> to this point, it is a group not tapped into? >> well, for the most part. and david and charles koch are the most prominent donors. they are highly active in the politic, but for the presidential campaign, a
