hyannis, 1.75 inches. boston, just over half an inch. a situation where some got into those bands, particularly around southeastern mass and the cape and some did not as much. boston was kind of right in the middle. still seeing some rain and drizzle along parts of the south shore in the area around when i show you the wider view, as we show you the loop notice shrinking with time. the mist that's around in some spots will gradually come to an end tonight but i'm not sure the skies will completely clear because we saw kind northeast northerly wind and atmosphere and it's still moist. cool 47. cool and raw. because it's been so warm so much this month. winds still pretty gusty on the cape but when we throw in the gusts we still see gusts to 39 miles per hour in nantucket. hyannis. wind advisory on nantucket until temperatures, not much to pick. cape. low temperatures. generally in the 40s on the coast. tomorrow's high temperature, i'm thinking like 50 to 55. notice, a lot of clouds. maybe limited sun in some areas in the first part of the

visibility down to a quarter mile in hyannis. that means a little pocket of dense fog there sitting over the cape. on the vineyard one and a quarter miles so some reduction quarter miles so some reductions down to nantucket as well. drive safely in these spots. i don't expect it to be a wide i don't expect it to be a widespread problems. a few foggy towns through 7 a.m. by 8 a.m., then, it should lift and be completely gone. dry and mild today and tomorrow. and then we have some late week showers and the timing a little bit different than what we expect yesterday. current conditions though anywhere from the 30s to the 40s. waking up to 36 in fitchburg this morning. lawrence at 41 degrees and we are seeing clear skies in lawrence right now, but we have got calm winds. we have got dew point that are pretty close. i think even in lawrence you will have to watch out for a little bit of light fog through again 7 a.m. 42 degrees at 6 a.m. by 8:00, 47 degrees. by 10:00 this morning, 57 degrees. and all the way into the upper 60s, spots

spots like hyannis will be the wettest of the longest, 53 degrees with rain in place. you have the rain potential that goes straight into the evening essentially. you can see 4 p.m., we still have that risk of showers. boston itself at 50 degree. a light to moderate rain in place now. and that is going to last us likely through noon and start to fade away and you will see the improvements faster like worcester where we are catching a drizzle in place. showers and start to dry out the timeline on that rain because heaviest and steadiest through the morning commute. pockets of heavy rain impacting eastern massachusetts and eastern new hampshire. through noontime, you can see showers really starting to break apart. they are not completely gone, a drying effect from west to east drying effect from west to east. because we have this north wind though, i could see a little bit of drizzle hanging on at the coastline for that 5 p.m. drive home from work. temperature-wise upper 40s to lower 50s. that means temperatures are barely budging. today, we gain a couple of degrees with

hyannis, more than an inch of rain at this point. that looks to be where the heavier rainfall will set up for today. you can see this right along the south coast, also for cape cod, the islands, even the south northeast as we get into the later parts of the morning hours. closer to noontime. then what happens as we eat lunch and head outed in the afternoon is just that raw feel. the winds will be with us but it will not be as wet. the rain will ramp down past about noontime. wet and windy for the morning and i would gander to say this is more in the good category for the afternoon but we have to wait for the ponding to dissipate as well. rainfall totals as we make it into later this afternoon, maybe closer to a half inch through boston then again that bull's eye, south shore and south coast, cape cod and the islands. a wind advisory through 7:00 p.m. for gusts between 25-35 miles an hour plus. again, the more east you get, the stronger the winds will be but as we get into the evening, the winds die down. tomorrow not really an issue
