don't know the cause of a two-alarm fire that critically injured a little girl and her father in hyattsville this morning. some one in the rental office of the toledo plaza apartments spotted smoke and called for help. audrey barnes joins us live. >> reporter: a neighbor who lives next door says she banged ferociously on the door trying to alert the 5-year-old man inside with his young daughter. when they didn't answer she rushed back to her own apartment to get her family out. and wait for fire crews who finally got the pair out. >> i said in 203 there is a baby with her father. >> reporter: she was practically hysterical knowing the little girl who is like a granddaughter to her was trapped in a burning apartment with her dad. >> when i was outside i was shouting help the baby. >> reporter: hyattsville fire crews rushed into the burning apartment and found them. >> they took both individuals out of the apartment and got them immediately to the ambulance twit we took them to the hospital. >> reporter: both needed cpr. the child was suffering from smoke inhalation. her dad, burned over 80% o
