to do this i am here today with my coauthors gerard cost college and jen rick ph.d. we will each focus on two strategies and provide examples of the work we plan on doing for each strategy. first, i'll share info on the economic and workforce development strategy. >> gentrification in san francisco has deepened economic polarization over time. this has placed financial strains on and trans residents, workers and businesses in the castro lgbtq plus community members who are not rich especially and trans people of color, transgender individuals and and trans women along with youth and older adults are at high risk of poverty and housing insecurity. we need to increase support for those of us facing economic inequities. we also need local businesses to learn and demonstrate lgbtq plus cultural competency about their employees and customers ensuring that the neighborhood commercial culture operates from a foundation of equity and inclusion for the entire community. i'm proud that we've made headway on this front supporting lgbtq plus small businesses in the neighborhood
